Cherries at Ipswich and Fulham moved to Sundays in November

Two of AFC Bournemouth's November away games have moved to Sundays because of the club's Europa League run. The Premier League trip to Ipswich Town is now on Sunday 8 November at 2pm, and the visit to Fulham is on Sunday 29 November at 2.05pm, the club confirmed on 21 September. Both games will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The Bournemouth Echo reported the same changes, noting that both matches were originally set for the Saturday and moved back a day because the Cherries play away in Europe on the Thursday before each one.

Which fixtures moved and why?

Both moved games follow a Thursday night Europa League away trip, so the extra day gives Marco Rose's squad more time to recover and travel. The Sparta Prague game is on Thursday 5 November, three days before Ipswich; the Celta Vigo game is on Thursday 26 November, three days before Fulham.

The club says ticket information for both away games will be announced in due course. The Cherries began their European campaign with a 2-1 win at Real Sociedad, before a 1-0 home defeat to Liverpool left them still looking for a first league win going into the international break.

What about home games at the Vitality?

Neither moved match is at home, so November dates at the Vitality Stadium are not affected by this announcement. According to the season data on our Cherries page, the only November home game is Nottingham Forest on Saturday 21 November at 3pm, with Brighton at home on Wednesday 2 December and Hull City on Saturday 5 December.

October is the busier month for home fans. The fixture list shows Sturm Graz on Thursday 15 October and AC Milan on Thursday 22 October in the Europa League, Sunderland on Sunday 18 October, Aston Villa in the EFL Cup on Wednesday 28 October and Leeds United on Saturday 31 October. Televised Premier League games can still move at short notice, so treat any Saturday 3pm date as provisional until the club confirms it.
