Hope Soap, located at 171 Seabourne Road, is a not-for-profit initiative by the Bournemouth-based charity Hope HTS. The shop offers a beautiful range of handmade soaps, candles, and gift sets, but what truly sets it apart is its impact.
For every bar of soap purchased, another is donated to local foodbanks and individuals facing hardship. It’s a simple idea with a meaningful ripple effect across the community.
Over the past few years, Hope Soap has helped fund the charity’s efforts to support more than 2,800 people into safe accommodation and independent living. With this new shop, they are expanding both production and reach.
Manager Caroline Connell shared that the initiative is about more than just products: it’s about dignity, care, and hope. Recent donations have already included dozens of soap bars distributed to Bournemouth Foodbank, with more to come across the BCP area.
All products are made using natural, sustainable, and palm-free ingredients, often sourced locally, making this not only a socially responsible choice but an environmentally conscious one too.
The shop also creates opportunities for people supported by Hope HTS to develop new skills through soap-making workshops and volunteering.
